Two Years Down, A Lifetime To Go
I'm not going to spend a lot of time writing here today, but I have ten minutes to jot something down, so here goes.
Brandi and I have been married for two years as of today. In my biased opinion, ours was the best wedding I've ever been to. It was a themed wedding: "Glamorous" - based off of the Fergie song. Our friends came wearing gold-spraypainted suits, and/or, wearing next-to-nothing, with body-paint and Indian headdresses. My friend Sam Penner didn't buy any groomsmen pants, so he went to Buffalo Exchange next door to the venue, two hours prior to the ceremony, and found some skinny black jeans to wear instead. We had a dance party reception with good food, good beer, good friends, and good family. Crowd surfing. The jams.
My wife is the most beautiful woman I have ever met in my life, bar none. I mean that. We dated for five years before we got married. She's like my end-of-high-school-high-school-sweetheart. Haha. We've been through a lot together, and I know we'll be through a lot more - by the grace of God - together. She's my best friend.
Seeing as how I'm a slow writer, my ten minutes is up. I'm skipping my beginning and mid-week blogs this week to celebrate with Brandi and read / write for my school material instead.
I hope you have a wonderful week. Freeverse Friday will be up like normal.
To celebrate two years, we're giving all of our albums away for two bucks today on Bandcamp. If you want one, or know someone who does, pick it up here: www.levithepoet.bandcamp.com.
