Store Details, Updated Policies & FAQs
First of all, I think it's so important to continue to say thank you. It's not something we say flippantly, and I hope that it doesn't go into the junk drawer with the rest of the words that are dying there.
Thank you. We mean it.
I always say "we" because even though Levi The Poet is just one guy standing on stage most of the time, I couldn't possibly do it without my better half - and anyone that enjoys this project has my wife Brandi to thank for it, because I'd have quit before I started were it not for her voice of encouragement to step into this world.
That said, we would like to address a few things regarding our online store. I think growth and change necessitate clarity, and based upon the type of feedback we've received regarding our online shopping process, it's time to clarify a few things.
Recently, we built and launched a brand new, online store. It's still in a sort of flux-phase as we iron out the creases, but by and large, we're excited to make your shopping experience something that's always getting better and easier.
Today, I updated our terms of service, our privacy policies, and a few frequently asked questions regarding returns and shipment information. In the last few weeks since we launched the new store, we have had a few disheartening instances with customers who felt as though they had not been served well, which is the antithesis of what our goal is regarding any and all things Levi The Poet.
Because LTP is a small, in-house operation - everything from writing to booking to management to touring to online stores to customer service, etc - there are times when we find ourselves needing to take a step back to look at where we can work more effectively (and efficiently). However, the DIY thing is also something that - though it may be all the rage - necessitates a slower process, at least when compared to artists or organizations with more staffing and resources at their disposal.
All of that to say, we are so thankful for those of you who support us through online purchases. It is the only way we generate income through this project when we are not on tour, and allows us to be able to have a bit of reprieve in the midst of all of the to-do lists associated with the multiple job descriptions above. I would like to personally promise you that, if your order has taken more than a week to make it to your door, we have not stolen your money and ran like some sort of digital dine-and-dash - it's probably just making its way to your step a little bit slower than we're used to now that Amazon Prime is the world we live in.
Here, I have included our brief terms of service, which are always visible and available to all customers at the checkout page upon completion of your store transaction:
Levi The Poet only offers returns on damaged items, or if the shipment you receive is wrong and the result of our error. Each return request will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please email all inquiries to our store manager at: firstname.lastname@example.org
SHIPPING AND STORE DETAILS
All shipping is handled in-house, and we strive to be as quick and efficient as possible regarding your purchase. Orders are shipped on a weekly basis - each Friday or Saturday - from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. Orders placed after midnight (MTN) on Thursdays will be shipped out the following week.
We use various shipping methods based upon products ordered - the most common of which include Media Mail, First Class and Flat Rate shipping. Because Levi The Poet is an independently operated creative entity, and because the efficiency of local postal services vary to relative degrees, we must make it clear that although it is our goal to provide the best (and quickest) customer service possible, we are not Amazon.com, and your orders may take longer to receive than the microwaveable speed we have grown accustomed to. Generally, from the ship-date, you can expect to receive domestic purchases within 4 to 14 business days, and it is not uncommon for internationally shipped orders to have a longer transit time due to customs compliance. Purchase completion will automatically add you to our e-newsletter regarding special offers on the store, tour dates in your area, or new writing from Levi The Poet via the email address provided at the time of your transaction. Under no circumstances will your private information be sold or shared with any third party, for any reason.
Finally, I would like to - once again - return to thank you. We've always seen Levi The Poet as a sort of ministry endeavor, and even though we haven't promised you tenfold on your investment or given anyone a prayer rug, you guys still continue to support us! I know that we are entitled to absolutely nothing from anyone, and my only hope is that this serves to help and inform. It is our desire to treat all people with the utmost respect and dignity, and to work hard as unto them, and as unto the Lord, and a part of that looks like striving toward excellent business practices and clear communication. May this, and the further development of our online process, be a means toward that end for the both of us.
