I welcome everything that comes to me today
because I know it is for my healing.I welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, persons, situations, and conditions.
I let go of my desire for power and control.
I let go of my desire for affection, esteem, approval and pleasure.
I let go of my desire for survival and security.
I let go of my desire to change any situation, condition, person or myself.
I open to the love and presence of God and God’s action within.

So much of our lives get wrapped up in the tantalizing possibility of being someone else, doing something else, wanting to be elsewhere. Ironically, the desire to jump our ship for another’s creates both an unhappiness with who we are, and the belief that whatever that other thing we desire is, is unattainable to us. Comparison paralysis. The grass is greener on the other side, until you get there, because it’s still you that’s with you wherever you go. I wonder what it would be like to practice so deep a sense of radical self-acceptance that not only do you begin to see your current reflection as beloved, but that that belovedness might create a floor for you step into all of the desires of your heart that currently evade you? What a paradox that would be, indeed.
