Using the self-emptying contemplation as our guide, this 40-Day “Wilderness Journey” will feature daily quotes, songs, videos and writing prompts for anyone and everyone who wants to join in on the therapeutic practice that writing is — and always has been — to me.

Join me as we spend the next month participating with one another in a series of meditative writing prompts based upon Mary Mrozowski’s The Welcoming Prayer.

What’s Included

The Daily Sit.

Each day will feature a ten-minute meditation timer and closing recording of The Welcoming Prayer, as recited by yours truly.

An Accompanying Song.

Each day’s session will be accompanied by a song and/or video that relates to the theme, quote or prompt that you can use as inspiration for your own practice.

A Quote for Contemplation.

Reflect on a daily quote that I’ve chosen in correlation with the week’s focus.

My Response.

Based upon that quote, I’ll ask you a question and give you a personal example of my own answer and writing in relation to it.

Your Writing Prompt.

Using my questions as a prompt, I’ll ask you to respond. The goal of each day’s practice will simply be: write.
