Wild Sorrow

Lent 2023 | Day 12 | Sunday, March 05

Week No. 02

I welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, persons, situations, and conditions.

  • Welcome, welcome, welcome.
I welcome everything that comes to me today because I know it is for my healing.

I welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, persons, situations, and conditions.

I let go of my desire for power and control.

I let go of my desire for affection, esteem, approval and pleasure.

I let go of my desire for survival and security.

I let go of my desire to change any situation, condition, person or myself.

I open to the love and presence of God and God’s action within.

    Amen.

Quote Of The Day

“’Grief is feral,’ Francis Weller writes. Grief is the gate into a life that cannot be manipulated, dominated, or controlled. The wild urges of sorrow shape us into sturdy souls.

- K.J. Ramsey

Song Of The Day

Prompt Of The Day

Remember a time when your tears set you free. What happened? What was that grief like? How did it feel inside of your body? Did you cry quietly? Did you writhe and wail? If “the wild urges of sorrow shape us into sturdy souls”… how did your tears shape yours?

  • Write about divorce or losing my dad.
