Of Innocence

Lent 2023 | Day 13 | Sunday, March 06

Week No. 02

I welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, persons, situations, and conditions.

  • Welcome, welcome, welcome.
I welcome everything that comes to me today because I know it is for my healing.

I welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, persons, situations, and conditions.

I let go of my desire for power and control.

I let go of my desire for affection, esteem, approval and pleasure.

I let go of my desire for survival and security.

I let go of my desire to change any situation, condition, person or myself.

I open to the love and presence of God and God’s action within.

    Amen.

Quote Of The Day

Many of the most important things that we know are things that we know before we can speak them. But, as they are hard to say... we tend to put them out of mind as we grow older, and make ourselves oblivious to them. We try to silence the voice of knowledge that speaks out from your own experiences of the world. But wisdom is the recovery of innocence at the far end of experience.

- David Bentley Hart

Poem Of The Day

Prompt Of The Day

David Dark writes that “sin is the avoidance of realization.” If the age of experience comes for us all, what wisdom / realizations have you garnered from yours? Perhaps it’s an insight in relation to loss? Perhaps it’s the shedding of limiting beliefs in the light of lessons that life teaches us (with or without our approval). Where has Life echoed the words of Jesus: “You have heard it said, but I say to you…?”
