About

Levi Macallister

is an author, poet and spoken-word artist whose writing and records often explore grief, faith, love and what it is to be and become human.

Under the moniker Levi The Poet, he has spent seventeen years touring, sharing poetry and creating theatrical audio visual performances into which audiences might enter, and see themselves.

Levi's writing flows through the intersection of religion, spirituality, psychology and lived experience, as does his work as an artistic and spiritual director, where he meets with and accompanies creatives, aspiring artists and seekers as they find their path and walk it.

His first published collection of writing-It's All Worth Living For—is a coffee-table book featuring a decade's worth of poetry, photography and artwork. His most recent book—Pay Attention, You're Alive—is a collection of poetry and essays written between 2021 and 2025, and explores an evolving faith, divorce (and the years that followed), grief, love and new beginnings.

Levi lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his dog, St. Francis The Labradoodle.
