Hi. I'm Levi Macallister.

I help humans tell stories, build systems and launch ideas that help other humans.

I work with both individual creatives and mission-driven organizations to bring clarity, cohesion, and grounded execution to visions that want to become realities.

Whether you're launching a product, shaping a story, building a system, or navigating transition — I offer support that blends strategy, structure, and soulful, empathetic storytelling.

From copywriting and creative direction to backend logistics and campaign planning, I help people and teams do stuff.

A Brief Portfolio

I've worked with record labels, nonprofits, medical centers, coaches, coffee companies, and mission-driven orgs of all kinds. From donor campaigns to creative strategy to story architecture — I love helping people and teams bring their ideas to life.

Check out a few of my case studies below, and then let me know how I can help you.

Levi The Poet

Role: Creative Director & All-Hats-Wearer

Levi The Poet is my baby. We’ve been together for my entire adult life. What began as a risk – selling burnt Walmart CDs at clubs and sleeping in the gutter of a 15-passenger death-metal band’s van – became a 16-year-long career. I had no idea what I was doing, and had to learn along the way. As a solo, independent artist, that meant teaching myself how to write advertising copy, learn how to market, etc. It meant putting thousands of hours into creative work, both at home and on the road.

As owner and director, I oversee all aspects of LTP, including but not limited to:

  • Web and content development
  • Community management
  • UX Writing
  • Subscription-based revenue streams and audience interaction
  • Tour booking, branding and promotion
  • Artistic relationships and collaboration
  • Merchandise / products

As storyteller, I’m in charge of content creation, strategy, creative copywriting and marketing.

As a speaker / keynote guest, I offer spoken-word poetry and performance art, discussions surrounding creativity and independent artistry. Sought after for workshops, festivals, conferences, classroom interaction, and touring opportunities.

As an administrator for the subscription-based platform I host, I am in charge of consistent, ongoing content specifically curated for my paying community / patrons in my Substack.

Working Against Gravity

Role: Lead creative, project management and copywriter for a variety of projects, including: webinars, websites, email campaigns and product descriptions.

WAG founders Michael and Adee Cazayoux reached out with a very specific ask: “We want you to help us build WAG’s internal marketing campaigns for current and alumni members interested in a new Coach Certification Program, and we want to create a 2-3 hour webinar where we teach some of the ways people fail on diets, how we’ve found success with our athletes and clients, and then offer participants our one-on-one coaching service.”

My Objectives

Project #1 — Rewrite website landing page, update lead capture and sales funnel, create offer page with product listings / copy, consider UX / buy path and reduce steps by combining unnecessary extras into a single call to action.

Project #2 — Write comprehensive internal and public launch campaign (usable for future evergreen / automation marketing).

Project #3 — Build a specific framework for WAG live webinar, including a bullet-pointed outline/template to follow, heavy on value. Consult and write copy for a 2-3 hour webinar intended to teach some of the ways people fail on diets, how WAG found success with our athletes and clients, and then selling people on our one-on-one coaching service.

My Goals

Project #1 - Deliverables:

  • Persuasive copy for landing / sales / join page, includingnew layoutheaders and servicesresearch and testimonialsendorsementsfeaturespricinga linear, easy-to-follow, narrative path for increased customer conversions

Project #2 - Deliverables:

  • Landing Page / Lead Capture
  • Offer Page / Product Listings
  • Email campaign for internal list and future evergreen launches / automation campaigns
  • Framework for live webinar, including bullet-pointed outline/template to follow, heavy on value moving people toward eventual end of broadcast pitch

Project #3 - Deliverables:

  • Landing page and waitlist page copy
  • Prelaunch, Launch and Post-Launch Campaign based around limited member availability and time restraints
  • Facebook ad copy

After a successful collaboration, WAG hired us again for help with new web content and the development of a brand new web-copy overhaul.

I rewrote the website’s landing page, considering UX and buy paths, and reduced the steps in their current model by combining unnecessary extras into a single call to action.

I delivered persuasive copy for a landing / sales / join page, including new layout recommendations, headers and services, research and testimonials, endorsements, features, pricing and a linear, easy-to-follow, narrative path for increased customer conversions.

To Write Love On Her Arms

Role: Write, perform and develop web content (written, audio, video) and collaborate for multiple World Suicide Prevention Day campaigns.

Call it a passion project. I call it a must-participate. I have been collaborating with To Write Love On Her Arms since losing my father to suicide in 2011.

Below, you’ll find a few of the articles, videos and resources we’ve released in conjunction with various mental health awareness campaigns they’ve spearheaded throughout the years, including Mental Health Awareness Month, National Suicide Prevention Week and their annual calendar.

Craig Brain

Role: Ghostwriter

Conceptualize, organize and ghostwrite blog and podcast content that will be made into a book. Write intro for podcast snippets, intro and outro, book forward, book content, subtitle and summary, etc.

Deliverables

Used voice memos, Basecamp and fractured snippets of client content to fill out full-length chapters, released weekly in pod-and-vodcast media, and social-media micro content. The project required organizational overview and categorization, editing and additional writing for increased empathy and palatability specific to niche audiences.

Ghostwrite a book, he said.

The idea was simple enough: Craig wanted to turn two years’ worth of journal entries into a book, and he wanted an empathetic thinker/writer to help him get the project shipped.

Over the course of 2019, it was my job to use voice memos, Basecamp to-do lists and fractured snippets of client content to ghostwrite full-length chapters which would first be released weekly via a blog, pod-and-vodcast platforms and social-media micro content, culminating in a physical copy of Craig Brain wisdom at the year’s end.

In addition to a full-length book, creative responsibilities included editing, conceptualization and organization of Craig’s themes, book structure and layout.

Tractor Brewing

Goal: Write a poem to be featured on a limited edition canning of Tractor Brewing’s seasonal autumn release—Turkey Drool.

Tractor Brewing's head-of-marketing approached me with a question: would I write a poem to be featured on a limited edition canning of Tractor Brewing’s seasonal autumn release: Turkey Drool.

She said that the piece should represent the following product description: "A brown style ale with all kinds of interesting flavor. Majalah cherry pits provide notes of cherry and a blend of Mexican spices brings out a hint of mint and finally fresh vanilla brings it all together."

My goal was to capture the essence of a season, and to appeal to common-but-very-real-sensibilities about what emotions the fall elicits in people. Here, for instance, I was told that this upcoming brew would include hints of Mexican spice, so I enjoyed the idea of subverting the powers that be and writing inclusivity into the poem, which ends with "there are no others, here..." I like thinking of whatever this beer might come to be a part of tearing down the walls some folks seem frighteningly interested in constructing just three short hours south of the brewery I wrote these words for.

she'd rake the fallen moments
into piles of
gold and
brown and
red,
as much in love with the aesthetic
as the way that autumn's breath
snuck in through the curtains
one morning (unannounced),
and never left.
every day, i'd watch her stake her claim
before she smiled and said,
"each, small death puffs out its chest
and poses like a threat, but
their words are not final.
there are no others here,
all are welcome,
jump on in.

Little Bear Coffee Company

Role: Copywriting and brand-voice development

Coffee. You might have heard of it. “Milk of the bean,” as my friends like to call it.

Albuquerque, New Mexico was a little behind the times when it came to specialties like craft beer, or “third wave” coffee. That is, up until recently. In the past five years, the brewery scene has exploded, and coffee is following its lead.

Little Bear Coffee Co. opened its doors less than a mile from my house, and with founders as friends, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to help them get their copy right for the new launch.

Allow me to take this moment to formally invite you to have a cup the next time you’re passing through Duke City.

Jen Hatmaker

Goal: Write web copy, internal marketing and email campaigns, e-course offerings and all else involved in the written, promotional overhaul that we delivered to Jen and her team.

After a ruthless year of having been chewed up and spit out by her previous distributors over theological disagreements, Jen Hatmaker’s agent reached out for a plan to rerelease one of her most successful projects to date: The 7 Experiment.

In collaboration with Aloha & Rain — an organization that disrupted the traditional publishing market through Facebook advertising, social influencers and collaborations with independent creators, artists and authors — it was my responsibility to write web copy, internal marketing and email campaigns, e-course offerings and all else involved in the written, promotional overhaul that we delivered to Jen and her team.

Infinity Medical Center

Role: Build a new website, write copy, develop brand voice, funnel visitors into customers.

When Scott Walker branched out to pursue his own primary care and integrative medical practice, he knew he need an online presence. He didn’t want it defined by the stuffiness that permeated the market he was competing with, but neither did he have the time to build out a new website in the midst of real estate negotiations, office moves and other priorities that only he could handle.

So, he outsourced it to me. After organizing and editing old content, writing copy for new offerings and building out a website void of the clutter he hated, Infinity Medical Of ABQ became a go-to establishment for primary care, chiropractic and holistic medicine in Duke City.

He created website and email copy preparing us for our first launch of a new product that generated over $200k. He took more time to understand our customers, our company values, and our product than any other writer has, and the result was that he NAILED the message we wanted to portray. As a person he has high integrity, and it was a pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend Levi."

About

I'm a writer, storyteller, administrator and creative companion with over 16 years of experience building and managing everything from poetic performances to product launches.

I've toured internationally as Levi The Poet, self-produced multiple spoken word albums and books, and grown an engaged community around honesty, language, and meaning-making. Alongside my own creative work, I've helped nonprofits, teams, and solo entrepreneurs develop their voice, offerings, and systems — from campaign strategy to website flow to client onboarding.

I thrive at the intersection of story and structure. Whether I'm writing copy, mapping launches, running production timelines, or helping someone untangle their to-do list, my goal is always the same: to shape the message well, and to help do what needs doing so that it can be received by the people who need what you have to offer.

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and started telling stories as a teenager. I've been doing it ever since — first in notebooks, then on stages, and now alongside others who have stories to tell, or ideas making their way into the real world.

If you're looking for someone who can help you build, narrate or organize your vision — whatever it may be — I'd love to talk.

Let's Work

I collaborate with artists, founders, and organizations on everything from product launches and live events to brand storytelling and systems design.

If you're looking for someone who can help organize the chaos, shape the message, and bring care to the process, I'd love to talk. Let's find a time to connect.

My CV

Beauty tells the truth. I have spent my career — creatively and professionally, whether through poetry or sales copy — seeking to articulate the human experience in honest, empathetic, true and beautiful ways.
