Team

ways to help roll this out

Remember street teams? They were basically groups of people in cities all around the country who liked bands and were down to help them out. Spread the word. Promote the show. Flyer the parking lot. It was super helpful to artists coming through town, trying to promote shows, or albums, or book releases, or whatever was happening, because there was a baked-in group of folks who believed in what they were doing... and became a part of it.

This is that. And if you'd have any interest in being a part of what I'm putting out in the world, I'd be honored, and thank you. Below are some ways you can be.

spread the word

Share the new book

Your friends. Your enemies. Your mom (whichever she is). The person who books shows at your college (please, god—college dollars?!). Socials, group texts—or go outside into a populated area (clothed, for your safety) and start screaming about it.

help me tour

Vote to bring me to your city

Follow me on Playhouse and vote for your city — the more votes, the closer a show gets to happening near you. It's free, and it's the easiest way to pull me your way.

tell me what you think

Leave a review or endorsement

I want to hear what you think—and to be able to share it. Five-star reviews are nice, but you could also leave a vitriolic diatribe (not as ideal, admittedly), etc. What did it do for you? How is it meeting you, now? Post it, tag me, or click the button right here to let me know.

for booksellers

Get it into a bookstore

Get Pay Attention, You're Alive (and/or my first book, It's All Worth Living For) onto your local bookseller's shelves. Maybe that's you—or maybe you know a shop that'd be a good fit and can point me to whoever's in charge. Hit me up.

bring me to a room

Book me for an event

Venue, bookstore, house, church, club, coffee shop, studio, university, festival, classroom, conference… really weird cave you carved out in the woods. Whatever. I love performing, and I love being in-person, with humans.

let's talk about it

Have me on your show

Podcast, Substack, IG-live, website, radio, media-something-or-other. I'd love to come talk about it. Or, suggest it to someone else for their's. Or take it to the press and tell the masses. Or just become my manager. (Yeah. Just become my manager.)

be cool

Something else entirely

Whatever else you think would be cool would also be cool—so just think about cool things, and being cool, because you are cool. Cool? Cool.

Kind words

A few early responses to the book. Want to add yours? There's a form just below.

"The way you write— these beautiful, raw, funny, insightful words— is exactly how you talk in real life. And that honestly takes my breath away."

— GabriellaNashville, TN

"It’s so good, Son."

— My Mom 🥹Albuquerque, NM

If my books—or my work, in general—have meant something to you, I'd love to hear it. Share a few words below. I read every one, and I may feature some on the site / my socials.

Questions & how-tos

How do I share it?

Link people to the book page and tag me so I can say thank you. A quick line about why it mattered to you goes further than anything polished. Instagram: @levithepoet. Book link: levithepoet.net/pay-attention.

What makes a good review or endorsement?

Honesty. A sentence or two about what the book stirred up in you is perfect — glowing or brutal. Post it wherever you like (and tag me), or use the form on this page and I'll take it from there.

I want it in my local bookstore

Two easy paths: email me the shop's name and city and I'll reach out, or introduce me to whoever handles their buying. If you're the bookseller — hello, I'd love to work with you.

How do I book you for an event?

Email me the date (or a range), city, the venue or space, rough audience size, and any budget. See my tour page for what a night with me can look like. House shows to festivals, I'm in.

I have a podcast / show

Send me your show, where it lives, and a couple of possible dates. Happy to talk about the new book, the writing life, faith and doubt, grief, or wherever the conversation wants to go.

Anything else?

If it's cool, I'm probably into it. Email hello@levithepoet.net — whether or not it has anything to do with the book.

Thank you for being here.

You can email me about anything, anytime — whether or not it has to do with the book — at hello@levithepoet.net.
